Maintenance & Diagnostic Analysis

A systematic way to narrow “what broke” without guessing.

Start with user-reproducible symptoms: no heat, intermittent noise, unusual odor, or sparking. Verify power supply, door closure, and interlock behavior before opening enclosures. For consumer-safe first checks, see Maintenance & Troubleshooting and Basic Troubleshooting Guide. For RF generation theory, see Magnetron Technology Deep Dive.

Diagnostic Tree (High Level)

  1. Confirm controls and settings (timer vs. cook).
  2. Inspect door, seals, and interior for damage.
  3. If sparking: remove metal; inspect waveguide cover.
  4. If no heat: suspect RF chain or control; professional service.
